August 28, 2023 Do You Accept the Truth?

It is beyond any doubt that there have been UFOs visiting the earth for decades, if not centuries. For those who still cannot accept this fundamental truth, I refer you to the books written by Richard M. Dolan and the film, “I Know What I Saw” by Jamie Foxx. The film is quite notable for its descriptions by witnesses, and, in one case, accompanying FAA records. Be that as it may, once you have experienced a sighting for yourself, the matter becomes quite personal.

The dog mentioned in my reports was Jerry, whom I came to regard as my “UFO dog.” He was genuinely affected by the events which occurred during his time with me. No other dog that I ever had was as sensitive as Jerry*. Dogs are generally believed to be “tuned-in” to these events, whereas other domestic animals are not.

The Mutual UFO Network, or MUFON, is a national registry of sightings, and the organization also investigates these reports. MUFON has told me, point blank, that the county in which I live is a “hot point” for activity resulting in reports to them.

Over the years, I have made several reports. What follows are the reports made; I’ll start with the most spectacular aerial sighting I ever had.

///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Here is the report I made to MUFON in August, 2010, based on the notes I had made previously. This was the first report I ever made, thus the delay. I later spoke to one of its representatives.

August 9, 2007 sighting

MUFON case #24911

Submitted August 3, 2010

Date of sighting: Aug 9, 2007, approximately 11 PM

While standing outside facing south and looking up at the sky, I heard a loud roar over my right shoulder and turned to look. Out of nowhere, a triangle shaped object appeared and at the same time, the roar stopped. The object was completely silent for the duration of the sighting. It passed over a tree which was west of me by about 40 feet and north of me about 50 feet, and it cleared the 60 foot tree by about 30 feet. The sky was dark, though not black, and airplanes (with running lights on) could be easily seen flying at high altitudes. There were no planes at low altitudes.

The object’s shape was in a triangle. The object was solid, as it had an outline and blocked out the stars behind it. It was very dark, with each point of the triangle having a rather dim white light, and in the center was a blinking red light. These lights turned off for a period of perhaps ½ minute, starting when it was about 60 or 70 feet south of the tree it had passed over, and just after I had moved my position to be almost directly under the object. The size of the object seemed to be about 25 to 30 feet long from the front point to the back, and the dimension across the back, as seen later, seemed to be somewhat shorter.

It traveled very slowly (a human could have outrun it) on an even horizontal altitude toward the south/southwest, over pastures, a road and then a bean-field, for about ½ mile before I lost sight of it. I believe I lost sight of it due to the terrain, as there is a slight slope to the land. As it passed over the bean-field, I noted that the back end of the triangle seemed to be less than 10 feet high, and completely but dimly lit with white light. A few times, the land below and to its left glowed with a soft white diffused light. The sky above the illuminated land was also lighter than the sky above the object, but only up to the height of the object. My view was unobstructed during its path except for a few moments when 2 or 3 trees got in the way. It did not pass in front of or behind these trees; merely my view was obstructed for a few moments.

Duration of sighting may have been about 3 to 4 minutes, hard to tell, as I was rather stunned to see such a thing. I did not think it was an airplane, glider, helicopter or any other object I had ever seen before.

I reported the following events, one from September 22, 2010 and one from the next day. I spoke to a representative of MUFON. No case number was officially assigned, but my report for the September 22nd sighting has this designation: uforeportform Result #5742969

September 22, 2010 sighting.

Between 8 and 9 pm on September 22, 2010, I went outside and noticed a very bright, faintly pulsating red light in the southwest, about 10 degrees above the horizon, which I thought could have been a planet as it was so bright (after checking with an amateur astronomer friend, it could not have been Mars, which I initially thought it was). The moon was full with not many stars out and Jupiter was plainly visible near it. When I went outside again at 10 pm, the light had moved slightly eastward and upward to perhaps 20 degrees above the horizon, and no longer appeared as a bright red color; it was rather white in aspect. I ran inside for my binoculars and camera, and when I came back outside, it was moving in an east/northeast direction. When viewed through the binoculars, it was a grouping of three lights, 2 red and one white, which did not blink but remained constant. As it moved from southwest of me to east/northeast of my position, it was about 50 degrees above the horizon, and plainly visible with the naked eye. Its altitude at its closest point was very much lower than that of a commercial jet. The two red lights were forward as it moved, with the white light trailing behind. I could not make out any shape corresponding to the lights. There were no planes in the sky, and the speed of the three lights was indeterminate, neither slow nor fast – there was nothing to compare it to. I tried to take pictures (Sony cyber-shot 14.1 on twilight setting) however, it was not possible to see through the viewfinder. I did not think it was a plane due to the position of the lights and the fact that they did not blink. My dog was most eager to go outside during this entire time (actually, he was the reason I was out there), and after the lights moved away, he was content to remain indoors.

September 23, 2010 sighting.

Note from a MUFON representative on the photo(s) taken of this sighting:

”I'm not sure if I told you the outcome of my working with the photo. I tried everything I could and could not see anything but background. I know this can be disturbing but I have actually had it happen to me during paranormal investigations and with all forms of cameras. I usually contribute it to high electromagnetic fields which may have been encountered during the time of the sighting.”

I previously reported a sighting which occurred on September 22, 2010, which commenced with a red light, however a similar event took place the following evening, which this report describes. The important difference in this second sighting is the unusual effects on my camera and on the pictures taken of this second object. On the evening of on September 23, 2010, my dog began acting as he did on the 22nd (extremely concerned to go out) so we went outside at about 7:45 pm. This time, I took my binoculars and camera. In the west, without binoculars, I saw a dim red or orange light just above the tree line which is a thousand feet away. I do not know the distance of the object from my position, but its size when viewed was about the size of a planet. I took 2 pictures (Sony cyber-shot 14.1, auto-set), then it just disappeared. Once again, as soon as the light vanished, the dog behaved normally, no longer stared toward where the object had been (an action he also took on the 22nd), and was content to go back inside and remain there. At no other time has my dog acted in the manner that he did on these two nights.

The effects on my camera and on the 2 pictures I took once downloaded were most unusual. From the camera playback, Picture One seemed just black; Picture Two seemed to show only low clouds lit up by the moon. When scrolling through the pictures on the camera, several times when the second picture should have been displayed, the camera has a blue screen that says “file error,” and each time the pictures were viewed through the camera, the dates on these two were off by one day for the pictures taken on the 22nd (camera says 21st) and the 23rd (camera says 22nd). Subsequent pictures taken have had the correct date.

I downloaded the pictures immediately after taking them, and a very faint orange light could be seen on both pictures. When this first download was viewed the second time, the orange light had turned black; on the third viewing the object was dimmer, but still could be seen, but on the fourth viewing, the object was gone entirely. I then downloaded the pictures a second time, and only a black object could be seen on both pictures. When this second download was viewed a second time, the black object was dimmer but still could be seen. Upon the third viewing, the object was gone entirely. In these two downloads, the black object was in the same location where the orange object previously had been. The next day, I downloaded the pictures again, but no object could be seen on either picture. The background of these two pictures never varied in any download, only the color of the object and its subsequent disappearance. These events have been disturbing to me because at no other time has my camera malfunctioned in any manner, and never has an image of anything altered after download in any way.

Addendum attached to the above report:

In the evening of on September 23, 2010, my dog began acting as he did on the 22nd, so we went outside at about 7:45 pm. This time, I took my binoculars and camera. In the west/southwest, I saw a dim red or orange light visible just above the tree line about a thousand feet away; no idea of actual location of the object. I took 2 pictures (Sony cyber-shot 14.1, auto-set), then it just disappeared. Once again, as soon as the light vanished, the dog behaved normally (i.e., no longer stared toward where the object had been) and was content to remain indoors.

Picture analysis:

From the camera playback -

  • Picture one was just black

  • Picture two showed only clouds lit up by the moon.

  • When scrolling through the pictures on the camera, several times when the second picture should have been displayed, the camera has a blue screen that says “file error,” I have also noted that the date on the camera is off by one day for the pictures taken on the 22nd (camera says 21st) and the 23rd (camera says 22nd)

From the first download on 9-23-2010 at 7:57 pm -

  • A very faint orange light could be seen on both pictures. When viewed the second and third time, the orange light had turned black, but still could be seen. Upon the fourth viewing, the object was gone entirely.

From the second download on 9-23-2010 at 10:31 pm -

  • A black object could be seen on both pictures. When viewed the second time, the black object was dimmer but still could be seen. Upon the third viewing, the object was gone entirely.

From the third download on 9-24-2010, 9:00 am -

  • There was no object seen on either picture.

Camera dates for pictures taken a few days later were correct.

The below event was reported, and I spoke to a representative of MUFON. No case number was officially assigned, but my report is designated “uforeportform Result #5839752

December 1, 2010 sighting

Reporting date December 4, 2010 [LOCATION REDACTED]

At about 10:55 pm CT on December 1, 2010 while driving up the lane to my rural home in [LOCATION REDACTED], I saw a very bright round orange light to the north, but upon getting closer to the house I could not see the location of where it had been due to trees. In taking out the dogs from the house just moments later, though, I felt nervously compelled to take the camera out with me. As soon as I got outside, I saw an object which had an easily discernable dark triangle shape, but seemed somewhat rounded in the back. It had 3 solid bight white lights on the back, with a red blinking light on each side of these 3 lights, and seemed to have a dull solid white light on the front point. It came from the north, traveling south/southwest, and was at a height much lower than the average commercial aircraft, certainly less than 5,000 feet in altitude. I could not tell its true size, but a nickel at arm’s length would have easily covered it. It seemed to move a little slower compared to the usual aircraft sighted in the area, and may have emitted a faint rumbling sound, but I’m not sure. The path of this object was nearly identical to a triangle object which I saw on August 9, 2007 and reported earlier this year. The sky was very dark and completely clear of any cloud cover. It should be noted that all commercial flights in this area travel from either east to west or west to east, at a much higher altitude, and do not have the pattern of lights that I saw on this object. Duration of the sighting was less than 30 seconds before it just seemed to fade away, perhaps due to distance.

I took 5 pictures with a new Sony Cybershot 14.1 mega pixels camera. The first one picture, numbered 00441 on the camera, shows the object's lights, although the image is small. The odd thing is that this first picture, #00441, did not download from the camera to the computer, even though I downloaded all of the camera’s images three times. The other 4 shots did download and all were just black. The first picture is still viewable in the camera. The only other time that this camera and its download malfunctioned at all was in a sighting report I made of an orange light which occurred on September 23, 2010.

On camera malfunctions, a letter published in the MUFON Journal states that it may be helpful to set your camera on manual.

"Others and I have investigated sightings where cameras and videos won't work, but then a few minutes later or the next day, they work fine. Perhaps the culprit is the infra-red finder-ranger beam [such as found on modern fighter jets]...UFOs probably have an extremely sensitive system to detect weapons being fired or aimed at them. Most cameras automatically project a beam of some sort to determine the distance of the subject. Thus the UFO would instantaneously respond...and in some way project a field that would interfere with the electrical system of the camera." Jim King

May 31, 2022 sighting

MUFON case # 29630

Submitted September 13, 2022

May 31, 2011 7:45 pm, I went outside to feed horses. I saw a definite silver cylinder with slightly rounded ends, about the apparent same size of an ordinary passenger jet, traveling almost overhead, at a fairly slow speed, although a person could not have outrun it. There was no sound, although about 2 minutes later, well after the object had disappeared, I heard the sound of an ordinary plane coming from the opposite direction and yet could not see this plane. The object traveled west to east at a level altitude but much lower than a commercial plane - perhaps just a few thousand feet. Very smooth movement, very smooth shiny surface, but there were definitely no wings, as I could see the back end of it as it moved away from me. At one point, there seemed to be air displacement around it. Just after that point, it looked like it may have separated horizontally slightly for a brief moment, at which time there seemed to be a red band between the two sections. The sky was blue and cloudless. From the time I noticed it in the sky until it disappeared, it traveled a distance of what seemed like a few miles. It seemed to just fade away, but that could have been because of distance. Sighting lasted about 1 minute and was fascinating. I did not have time to go back inside for my camera.

May 26, 2022 sighting

I discussed the event described below with a representative of MUFON a few days after my report. I suppose the slight delay in reporting had to do with the fact that I had submitted so many over the years. But as MUFON said, my county is a “hot point.”

MUFON case # 125141

Submitted September 13, 2022

May 26, 2022 Writing begins, 9:58 pm

It all ended at 9:44 pm when I finally got back into the house.

It was perhaps an hour earlier that I first saw the lights from the kitchen deck, appearing to be just over the northern edge of my property and on my neighbor’s adjoining field which has a higher elevation than my deck. There were hundreds of them, separate globes of glowing, sparkling golden lights of various sizes, stretching for well over 100 hundred feet in an east/west orientation. The lights started close to the ground and I estimated that the total height from the ground of the mass of lights varied between 5 and 7 feet. There was also a smaller, shorter cluster of these golden globes, separate and apart from the main group, on my land and further to the west. Then I heard a loud rumble coming from the northwest which sounded like a truck or farm equipment. Trying to see the source of the sound, I used binoculars and now there were no globes but I saw rows of very thin rectangular shapes, uniformly 7+ foot tall and about 8 inches wide, moving as with a light breeze and gold in color as if lit up by golden headlights. The rumble suddenly ceased, the globes reappeared and I could hear no sound other than insects and frogs.

I was determined to see what this was all about. I drove my truck west down my lane and stopped at its crossroad: turn south to head to the main road, turn north and the lane goes down a hill, over a bridge and up a hill on my land then turning north onto my neighbor’s land. I felt that the lights were gone. I turned the engine off; there was no sound. By the time I got up to where the lights would have been, they had completely vanished; there was nothing but a plowed field.

After making my way back home, I told myself that if such a thing were to happen again, I would merely walk to the spot. I went immediately onto the kitchen deck. I saw they were back, but different. They were only dozens now and then for a few moments their color was dark grey, seemingly due to a lighter grey-colored beam of light coming down upon them. The beam appeared quite wide at ground level but oddly thin in depth and was angled from a moderately easterly position. Where it hit the ground, the beam looked to be at least 30 to 35 feet wide. At the top of what I could see of it, it was maybe 10 or 12 feet wide. There were walnut trees just to the south of the beam, the foliage of which starts at about 20-25 feet and the trees are no taller than about 40 feet. There was no sign of the beam above the trees. The beam abruptly shut off and the globes were gold again.

All this was enough to make me put on rubber boots and begin walking there in the dark. I walked straight down from the house and turned west onto the wide path between the ponds and the creek. I could still see them but as I walked, their number was dwindling. By the time I got to the bridge, I knew they would be gone. Coming to the where they had been, there was no sign of them at all.

Writing ends, 11:04 pm

///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

* I now have a dog named Axel, who might be another “UFO Dog.”

I had my farmhands thrown off the property by court order after they turned violent against me. I had new locks installed on the barn and the house on August 19, 2023 by my “main man” B. He even had a tractor key to replace the one these jerks took. I put the new barn key and the tractor key on a loop of thick string with a heavy, promotional bottle opener.

On the 20th, I cleared out some of their junk from the barn, then discovered that I had lost the keys. I frantically searched the grounds, the house and the barn for the keys every day; I even bought a strong magnet on the 23rd to help.

On the night of the 20th, and on each consecutive night for a total of five nights, Axel barked at the front door. This is something he had never done before. Whenever he and I went outside afterwards, he stared intently towards the direction of the barn. On the 25th, when I looked in the barn for the sixth time, the keys were neatly laid out on the floor that I had scoured for days. Axel did not bark at the front door that night.

I can assume nothing from this; however, I do find it interesting, perhaps even provoking.
